Darbyshire Architects have strengthened their links with Acanthus, the largest network of independent architects in the country and plan to diversify.
Whilst still maintaining their enviable reputation in the Education Sector, Newcastle-based Acanthus Darbyshire Architects will share information and collaborate with other Acanthus practices throughout the UK.
Two new directors have been appointed to the Newcastle office. Paul Glover and Jonathon Wingfield join the team and bring with them extensive residential and hotel expertise.
The company, whose projects have ranged from new schools to historically sensitive student housing at Durham University, has been in business for over 25 years and survived the property slump, which devastated many architecture and building firms
“We are delighted that the practice continues to flourish despite the economic downturn,” said founding director David Darbyshire.
